The Low Carbon Business Breakfasts are held in Bath on the third Tuesday of every month, offering an invaluable opportunity to hear about new developments in the sector and make new connections in the region.
Tuesday 24th April:
Speaker:Mark Thurstain-Goodwin, Geofutures Ltd.
Topic:Plant it and they will come - growing a resilient economy
We all share the desire for a resilient, sustainable future economy, but few of us have a clear idea of what this really looks like: how existing and new businesses will respond to unaffordable fossil fuels and climate change to meet changing market needs and trade in new ways. Like planning a garden, we will grow future businesses best if we make the most of the local conditions and work with what's thriving already. Drawing on his experience analysing data for government and corporate clients, as well as his involvement with Transition planning and modelling, Mark offers an insight into the current and historic data we can use now to design, plant and grow a resilient future.
Timings: Please arrive from 7.45am for an 8am start. The talk and subsequent discussion will conclude by 9am, followed by optional networking until 10am.
Cost: £10 +VAT, including tea/coffee and pastries. Or half price (£5 +VAT) for LCSW Members (Associate, Enhanced, Full & Corporate).
